Our Story

Our story is rooted in love and remembrance. The inspiration for Little Lantern Pottery comes from my beautiful boy, Liam, who filled our home with laughter for four bright years. After the unthinkable day when cancer took his tiny hand from mine, I needed a way to keep the light he gave us shining—a way to hold the echo of his giggle, the weight of his good-night hug. Each piece we craft is a tribute to every bedtime story we never finished, every crayon masterpiece still taped to the fridge, every small shoe left by the door.

At Little Lantern Pottery, we understand that a child’s life, however brief, can outshine the sun. Our mission is to create gentle, child-sized urns that reflect the wonder of the boys and girls who taught us how to love bigger in less time. Every item is hand-thrown and hand-painted with the soft blues of Liam’s favorite dinosaur shirt, the buttery yellow of the kitchen light he stood under while sneaking cookies. We use only lead-free, high-fire stoneware so that the vessel meant to guard your child’s memory will last as long as the love it carries.

Ten percent of each sale is donated to the pediatric oncology ward that fought beside Liam, so that other families might win more days than we were given.
